I have loved photography for as long as I can remember. I still vividly remember how excited I felt when getting my first camera when I was nine, and later my first SLR camera in high school. I have been off and “shooting” ever since.
When I was young and college bound, photography was not offered in any of my local colleges so I went on to earn a MA in Sociology from the University of Toledo. A few years later, I was able to complete my dream of going to college to study photography as well. I live near Toledo, Ohio with my husband and children.
I love to travel and do so whenever possible. I plan multiple excursions every year to wonderful places throughout the United States. When travel is not possible, I also travel around the Toledo area, finding beauty everywhere around me, in the city and state parks, zoos, botanical gardens, and all of the many interesting landmarks in the area.
Up until about ten years ago, I strictly used color and black and white film, enjoying my time in the darkroom. I finally broke down and made the switch to digital. It was love at first capture. Now, I have moved to mirrorless SLR cameras and am enjoying the really amazing features. I am an avid “Canon” camera fan and will continue to be for the rest of my days!
When I'm not shooting or spending time with my family, I also enjoy creating food, growing beautiful flowers, and many types of exercise.
Let my passion for photography show in your pictures! And keep in mind, I will happily jump on a plane or in my car to come and shoot an event for you.
